PEMA Publish IP08A – Laser Technology in Ports and Terminals (2023)
PEMA publishes its latest information paper on Laser Technology
IP08A describes how laser technology works and outlines how it is applied in the sector. This includes laser technology’s application in automated facilities. This PEMA white paper, IP08A, is an update of paper IP08 first published in January 2015. The updated paper is intended to provide a high-level overview of the use of laser technology in Container ports and Intermodal terminals.
IP08A is one of a series of information papers developed by the Technology Committee (TC) of the Port Equipment Manufacturers Association (PEMA). The series is designed to inform those involved in port and terminal operations about the design and application of software, hardware, systems, and other advanced technologies to help increase operational efficiency, improve safety and security, and drive environmental conservation.
