PEMA publishes latest information paper for 2021 – Battery & Charging Solutions in Ports and Terminals

 

This information paper is intended to provide an overview of battery solutions for equipment used in Ports and Terminals such as Rubber Tyred Gantry Cranes, Straddle Carrier, and Automated Guided Vehicles. The content is intended to provide ports, terminals, and other interested parties with information on the state-of-the-art by way of practical advice on the selection and implementation of battery solutions both for new build equipment and for retrofit installations.

This document is one of a series of Information Papers developed by the Environment Committee (EVC) of the Port Equipment Manufacturers Association (PEMA). The series is intended to inform readers about battery application on different equipment in ports & terminals and the benefits of utilising battery technology in respect of fuel saving, flexible operation, reduced maintenance and environmental impact.
