Svendborg Brakes are the Global Leading Expert in intelligent braking solutions since being founded in 1884. Back then, Svendborg Brakes built machines for industrial companies. In 1989 the company took over the rights to manufacture disc brakes from Hägglunds Drives and became specialists.

In 1990, Svendborg Brakes delivered their first brakes to customers in the mining industry and entered into the wind industry the following year. They’ve since then opened offices and manufacturing facilities in many locations all over the world. Svendborg Brakes is part of a strong network, within the Regal Rexnord Corporation, who have a large global footprint.
