Tratos Cavi hosts the PEMA Autumn 2011 meeting on 13-14 October

Tratos Cavi is pleased to be the host for the Port Equipment Manufacturers Association (PEMA) Autumn 2011 Meeting at the company’s global headquarters in Bagno di Romagna, Tuscany, Italy, to be held 13-14th October 2011.
PEMA’s mission is to provide a forum and public voice for the global port equipment and technology sectors, reflecting their critical role in enabling safe, secure, sustainable and productive ports and thereby supporting world maritime trade. Its regular Meetings provide members with the opportunity to exchange of views on global trends in port equipment and technology design, manufacture, operation and maintenance.

This second Autumn Meeting held at Tratos’ facilities supports the work of PEMA’s three Committees – Environment, Safety and Technology – by providing a full day on October 13th for discussion and progress on Committee goals, topics and projects. On 14 October there will be a general members meeting to include guest speaker Flemming Dalgaard, Senior Vice President & Managing Director Europe and Russia for DP World who will discuss his company’s operational priorities and the role of the equipment and technology sectors in supporting these.

Tratos Cavi has been a PEMA member since 2008, recognising its value as both an official representative of manufacturers supplying to ports and as an educational body for members.

Tratos specialises in the production of power, signalling, control and telecommunications cables for a range of industries, including high speed reeling cable for cranes which are used in ports across the world. The focus is on technological innovation and innovative design in both off the shelf product and bespoke cable. As you would expect from one of the world’s leading cable manufactures, Tratos cables are produced using high grade component parts, include recyclable materials where possible and comply with all the normal environmental protection standards.

The meeting is open to PEMA members and invited guests.
