Delivery of six Terex® TFC 46M HC Reach Stackers provides additional abilities to Tecondi, Santos Port, Brazil

11.06.2012 – Terex Cranes has delivered an additional six units of its market-leading, TFC 46M HC reach stacker to TECONDI – TERMINAL PARA CONTÊINERES DA MARGEM DIREITA S/A., to operate in Santos Port, Brazil.

Produced at the Terex Cranes facilities in Montceau-les-Mines, France, all six units were delivered via the company’s local distributor EQUIPORT, and fully commissioned on March 15th. Designed to match today’s most challenging port terminal environments with the highest stacking capacity currently available, the Terex® TFC 46M HC reach stacker offers the ability to stack 6 high, High Cube and ISO dry containers of 35 tons (31.75 tonnes) and 45 tons (40,82 tonnes) in the first row; 6 high ISO dry containers of 32 tons (29,02 tonnes) in the second row; 5 high, High Cube containers of 35 tons (31.75 tonnes) in the 2nd row; 5 high ISO dry containers of 19 tons (17.23 tonnes) in the 3rd row, and 4 high, High Cube containers of 19 tons (17.23 tonnes) in the 3rd row.

The Terex TFC 46M HC comes equipped with a Cummins QSM 11 239 Kw, at 1800 rpm engine, DANA TE 27 transmission and fully integrated IC-1 monitoring system with MD3 dashboard display panel. All units can be tailored with container handling spreader, hook block and multi-attachment devices for specific loading applications.

TECONDI set up operations in 2000 and the company is currently holding a 17% share of port handling and logistics operations in Santos Port, Brazil. In addition to its existing fleet of 19 Terex reach stacker units, these six units will contribute to help TECONDI work toward its goal of providing efficient solutions to their customers’ constant increasing containerized cargo handling needs in the port of Santos.
