Baltkran to benefit from the increasing throughput at Arkhangelsk Terminal

11.11.2011 – The technical team at Baltkran is to deliver a new container crane to the expanding Arkhangelsk Intermodal Terminal by the end of the year.

The double cantilever crane with double girder design features a main trolley travelling on upper flanges of main girders and a moving cabin. Its capacity is 41t and the bridge length is 40m.

Baltkran’s crane control system enables 360 degree container rotation in ‘door to door’ positioning, facilitating smooth operation to assure cargo safety.

“The customer values not only energy saving features and low energy consumption but also higher degree of reliability and availability. One important feature is a system developed by Baltkran that prevents container sway and increases productivity” said Arthur Ermolaev, Vice President of Baltkran.
