With its R&D department in the Netherlands and manufacturing plants in the Netherlands and Singapore, Stinis has supplied container handling spreaders to more than 90 ports worldwide. The company has been involved in the business for several decades, selling its first container handling spreader back in 1967.
Two decades later, Stinis launched its first fully automated spreader, the AutoTwist®. This was followed in 1996 by the patented Long-Twin®, a robust and simple twin lift design. The most recent innovation is the Split-Headblock®, scheduled to go into operation with the first customers at the end of 2007. The Split-Headblock® can be equipped with two Long-Twin® spreaders, enabling two 20ft-45ft containers, one 40ft and two 20ft, or four 20ft containers to be lifted simultaneously.
